Summer Intern of Invest Hong Kong (Ref: SI/01/2020)
HK$10,500 per month
The intern should:-
(a) be currently enrolled in a full-time degree course (or equivalent), preferably in the stream of business, marketing, language, translation, communications, journalism and public relations;
(b) be proficient in English, Cantonese and Putonghua. Knowledge in other languages is an advantage;
(c) have good English and Chinese typing skills;
(d) be proficient in the application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
(e) experience in marketing and communications or event organisation is an advantage.
The intern will be required to carry out the following tasks:-
(a) To assist in collecting, collating and updating information in business opportunities, government policies / initiatives, research / funding support and infrastructure, etc.;
(b) To assist in identifying companies from around the world which are interested to invest in Hong Kong;
(c) To assist in developing / updating the contents of marketing, presentation and promotional materials, including websites, videos, various social media platforms, brochures, flyers, booklets and leaflets, etc.;
(d) To assist in developing and updating of databases on client profiles and cases; and
(e) To provide administrative support (e.g. preparation of guest lists, invitation letters, logistics and procurement, etc.) to activities / events.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. Three months, starting from May/June 2020.
Except otherwise provided in the appointment letter, rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

If a disabled applicant meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by e-mail.

Apart from the application form, the applicant must submit the following items to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the closing date of application:

Applicants not using the above-mentioned application form, without any one of the above items (i) and (ii), or late submission will not be processed.

Those who are not invited for selection interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
