職責: (a) 協助首席技術主任(樓宇改善課)及高級屋宇裝備工程助理核查獲授權人士、顧問及註冊消防裝置承辦商所提交的技術文件及消防裝置圖則；

Job Number: 35298 Department: Fire Services Department Division/Section/Unit: (1) Building Improvement Divisions Job Title: Contract Building Services Engineering Assistant (1) Building Improvement Divisions Salary: HK $35,930 per month Entry Requirements: The candidate should -
(a) have a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent;
(b) possess not less than 12 years of relevant experience inclusive of 10 years or more post-qualification experience in building construction projects;
(c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note); and
(d) possess general office computer skills.
Note: (1) ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(2) Candidates with relevant experience in fire services field, including smoke control systems, and having a valid ‘Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate’ will be an advantage.
Duties: (a) To assist Principal Technical Officers (Building Improvement) and Senior Building Services Engineering Assistant in checking technical submission and fire service installations (FSIs) drawings submitted by authorized persons (APs), consultants and registered fire service installation contractors (RFSICs);
(b) To assist in coordinating all engineering matters associated with the provision / improvement of fire safety measures in various types of buildings and prescribed commercial premises;
(c) To solicit information and data in relation to the engineering aspects of design reports submitted by APs, consultants and RFSICs;
(d) To conduct technical surveys and investigation on site to ascertain feasibility of design;
(e) To update and maintain submission / drawing records; and
(f) To carry out any other duties in relation to the FSIs drawings.
Terms of Appointment: Selected candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for at least six months. The contract may be renewed subject to operational need and satisfactory performance of the post holder. Fringe Benefits (a) An end-of contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of the gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap.485), equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; (b) 10 days’ annual leave under a continuous contract of employment for every 12 months. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions under the Employment Ordinance and the contract terms.
