Job Number: 35217 Department: Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department Job Title: Park Warden (Part-time) Salary: $94 per hour Entry Requirements: The applicant should have (a) completed primary 6 education; (b) at least 15 years of working experience, preferably in handling of store and liaise with contractor for repairing and maintenance work. Preference will be given to candidates with working experience related to Country Parks and Geopark. Duties: The Park Warden (Part-time) is mainly deployed on (a) maintaining and recording materials in store rooms; (b) packing and delivering materials for educational programmes and publicity work; (c) assisting inspections of geosites and visitor facilities and checking the service of contractors on weekends, Sunday and public holidays; and (d) assisting in delivering visitor services and obtaining data on geopark activities needed for better management and development of Geopark.
[Note : May be required to work in any part of Hong Kong; work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends; drive departmental vehicles and wear uniform.]
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms. Fringe Benefits Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. There is no end-of-contract gratuity for this position.
