$439 per hour (Required to work 16 hours per week)
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in Liberal Studies, Sociology, Chinese History, History, Geography, Economics, Environmental Studies, Government and Public Administration, Science or Social/ Public Administration, or equivalent [See Note (i)];
(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [See Note (i)];
(c) At least 6 years' relevant post-qualification [as specified in (a) and (b)]experience in teaching in secondary schools and curriculum and resources development of Liberal Studies [See Note (ii)]; and
(d) Preference will be given to candidates who possess a higher degree (e.g. a second/ higher degree) related to curriculum development and/or education management, or equivalent.
(i) Candidates should mark clearly on their application forms the major and minor subjects studied in their degree courses. Candidates possessing additional qualifications (e.g. a second/ higher degree in a relevant subject) should include details in their applications.
(ii) Candidates should state the nature and relevancy of the post qualification experience.
(iii) Candidates should be responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic; have a fine character and integrity; be committed to serve in the education field; and be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English.
(a) To support the curriculum of Citizenship and Social Development to be implemented in Secondary 4 progressively from 2021/22 school year onwards;
(b) To review textbooks and related resource materials;
(c) To assist in organising professional development programmes for teachers in support of the implementation of the curricula of Citizenship and Social Development as well as Liberal Studies;
(d) To support the dissemination of the above curricula, including the development of curriculum resource materials; and
(e) To undertake any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
