Project Officer (Guidance and Discipline) (EDB/GD/320/23)

(a) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in Psychology or Social Work, or equivalent;
(b) a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (See Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
(d) at least 4 years' relevant post-degree experience in teaching, guidance/discipline or counselling working with children.
For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To provide professional support through school development visits and district networking on student guidance and discipline work;
(b) To provide school-based programmes and other activities to ensure the student guidance and discipline services meet the developmental, preventive and remedial needs of primary and secondary school students;
(c) To support and monitor guidance projects;
(d) To organise thematic seminars for schools; and
(e) To supervise Student Guidance Officer(s) and the delivery of student guidance services to primary schools.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
