Applicants should -
(1) have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent;
(2) at least eight years of relevant work experience in brand management or related fields, and be conversant with market trends in promotion, publicity and marketing work;
(3) have a good command of English and Chinese and proficiency in Putonghua;
(4) have good communication skills; and
(5) abilities in word processing, excel, web-management, social media and mobile apps skills etc.
Suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
Duties of the Senior Brand Executive will include assisting the Information Services Department in implementation of Brand Hong Kong (the brand) promotional programmes. These include –
(a) assisting in the planning and implementation of promotional and advertising projects to promote the understanding and usage of the brand;
(b) assisting in the development, production and distribution of brand promotional material, including videos, print ads, publications and souvenirs;
(c) assisting in ensuring the proper usage and maximum exposure of the brand in both government and non-government publicity material;
(d) assisting in liaising with parties within and outside the Government in managing the brand;
(e) assisting in vetting applications for funding of mega events and assisting in co-ordinating with parties concerned in relation to brand promotion in these activities;
(f) assisting in the management of the Brand Hong Kong Website and other social media platforms; and
(g) assisting in managing and monitoring the expenditure in relation to the brand.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate for the post will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the performance of the candidate.
Upon satisfactory completion of the contract period with consistently satisfactory standard of performance and conduct throughout the contract, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund scheme (MPF) in respect of the appointee required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15 per cent of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave or paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be no less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
