註:	(1) 入境事務主任的入職薪酬分別為紀律人員（主任級）薪級表第7點（每月港幣44,385元）、第8點（每月港幣46,925元）及第9點（每月港幣49,505元），按入職資歷而定。 (2) 頂薪點的資料只供參考，該項資料日後或會有所更改。 (3) 現正修讀大學學士學位，並將在2025或2026學年畢業的學生也可申請。上述申請人必須分別在2025或2026學年內取得所需學歷資格（即持有由香港任何一所大學頒授的學士學位，或具同等學歷），才會獲聘任。 (4) 綜合招聘考試的中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為二級、一級或不及格，並以二級為最高等級。 政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第4級成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科D級的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的一級成績。 香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績；或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第4級成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科D級成績；或GCE A Level English Language科D級成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的一級成績。 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。 (5) 持有學士學位的申請人如在獲發聘書時持有綜合招聘考試中文運用及英文運用兩張試卷所需的成績，或具同等成績，便符合資格獲取此起薪點。 (6) 政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科（課程乙）C級及E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。 (7) 政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目（最多計算兩科）「達標並表現優異」成績，以及其他語言科目C級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績；香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目（最多計算兩科）「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。 (8) 有關科目可包括中國語文科及英國語文科。 (9) 政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》及《香港國安法》知識。在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績是所有公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法及香港國安法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在20題中答對10題或以上，會被視為取得《基本法及香港國安法》測試的及格成績。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試或未曾在相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
職責:	入境事務主任主要執行與入境、人事登記、生死及婚姻登記等香港法例有關的職務，包括一般行政及督導工作，當中包括但不限於偵查偽造證件。（註：須受紀律約束、接受全日制入職訓練、穿著制服、輪班當值，並或須在香港特別行政區以外的地方工作。）
聘用條款:	獲取錄的申請人會按公務員試用條款受聘，試用期為三年。成功通過試用期者將獲當局考慮按當時適用的長期聘用條款受聘。

Note:	(1) The entry pay for the post of Immigration Officer is the Disciplined Services (Officer) Pay Scale Point 7 ($44,385), Point 8 ($46,925) and Point 9 ($49,505) per month respectively, as commensurate with respective entry qualifications. (2) The information on the maximum pay point is for reference only and it may be subject to changes. (3) Final year undergraduate students graduating in the academic year of 2025 and penultimate year undergraduate students graduating in the academic year of 2026 may also apply. If selected, appointment will be subject to, among others, the attainment of requisite academic qualification (i.e. bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent) within the academic year in 2025 and 2026 respectively. (4) The results of the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) are classified as Level 2, Level 1 or Fail, with Level 2 being the highest. For civil service appointment purpose, Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE); or Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Level 4 in Chinese Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade D in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE, are accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade C or above in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade C or above in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Level 4 in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade D in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade D in English Language of the GCE A Level, are accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UE paper of the CRE. Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test result are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period. (5) Bachelor degree-holding applicants will be eligible for this pay point if they possess the requisite results in the Use of Chinese and Use of English papers in the CRE or equivalent at the time the offer of appointment is made. (6) For civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (7) For civil service appointment purpose, “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. (8) The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language. (9) All applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their knowledge of the Basic Law and the National Security Law. A pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST) is an entry requirement for all civil service jobs. Only those candidates who have passed the BLNST will be considered for appointment. Answering at least 10 out of 20 questions correct will be deemed to have a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test. For candidates who have not taken the relevant BLNST or have not attained a pass result in the relevant BLNST at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the relevant BLNST during the recruitment process.
Duties:	An Immigration Officer is mainly deployed on general, executive and supervisory duties in connection with the enforcement of the immigration, registration of persons, births, deaths and marriage laws of Hong Kong, which include but not limited to the detection of forged documents. (Note: Subject to discipline, required to undergo a full-time induction training, wear uniform, work shifts and may be required to work in an area outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.)
Terms of Appointment:	New recruits will be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years, and may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
General Notes:	(a) Applicants are required to pass the Physical Fitness Test held by the Immigration Department in Hong Kong before they will be further considered for the next selection tier.
