Master Pay Scale Point 9 (HK$19,160 per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 22 (HK$37,590 per month)
Candidates should have
(a) obtained a Diploma/Higher Certificate in Graphic Design, Multi-media Production, Desktop Publishing or Printing from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute/technical college, or equivalent; and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Note(1)]
(1) For civil service appointment purpose, 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(2) Candidates will be required to pass an assessment on their colour vision for performing duties relating to preparation of maps and charts.
(3) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Candidates who are invited to attend the recruitment interview will be assessed on their BL knowledge through a written test to be conducted immediately before or after the recruitment interview. The BL test result will be one of the considerations to assess the suitability of a candidate.
A Technical Officer (Reprographic) is mainly deployed on
(a) undertaking photographic and reprographic assignments;
(b) performing video capture and editing work;
(c) assisting in 3D modelling and animation;
(d) designing and preparing promotional leaflets/posters and panel displays;
(e) carrying out film scanning; and
(f) processing digital aerial photographs and satellite imagery data.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours and be seconded to other government departments.)
Terms of Appointment:
A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend recruitment examination and/or interview.
(h) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to further shortlisting.
(i) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Completed application forms should reach the enquiry address indicated below on or before the closing date for applications with the envelope clearly marked 'Application for the post of Technical Officer (Reprographic)'. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about 10 to 12 weeks from the closing date for applications.
