(1) 持有本港理工學院/大學或香港專業教育學院/工業學院/科技學院頒發的電機工程、機械工程或屋宇裝備工程文憑或高級證書,或具備同等學歷;
(2) 在取得上述學歷後,具備最少8年相關工作經驗,包括最少4年有關屋宇裝備裝置的工作經驗;
(3) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績,或具備同等學歷(見註1);以及
(4) 具備一般辦公室電腦技能。
註: 註1: 就聘任而言,2007年之前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)的「E」級成績,在行政上獲接納為等同2007年或以後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科「第2級」成績。
註2: 具備消防範疇(包括煙霧控制系統)相關工作經驗和持有有效「建造業安全訓練證明書」者更佳。
職責: (1) 根據相關消防安全規定,為基建及/或鐵路項目的消防裝置及煙霧控制系統進行認可檢查和合格測試;
(2) 確保消防裝置及煙霧控制系統符合部門在會議中與機電工程顧問和消防裝置承辦商所達成的協議;
(3) 就消防裝置及煙霧控制系統的認可檢查和合格測試事宜,查核提交的技術文件;
(4) 與不同團體,包括政府部門、鐵路公司等聯絡,並出席與認可人士、機電工程顧問和消防裝置承辦商等有關人士舉行的會議,並回應他們對消防裝置及煙霧控制系統認可檢查和合格測試事宜的查詢;
(5) 監督下屬的工作;以及
(6) 執行上司指派的任何其他職務。
聘用條款: 獲取錄的申請人會按非公務員合約條款聘用,合約期由聘用日期起至2022年 3月31日,續約與否視乎屆時情況而定。獲取錄的申請人每星期須工作44小時(包括用膳時間),由星期一至五,但以主管安排為準。
福利: (a) 受聘人如在合約期內一直表現和行為良好,在合約圓滿結束後可獲發約滿酬金。該筆酬金,連同政府根據香港法例第485章《強制性公積金計劃條例》的規定向強制性公積金計劃所作的供款,相等於受聘人在合約期內所得底薪總額的15%;(b) 受聘人以連續僱傭合約受聘每12個月,可享有10天年假。僱員若未受僱滿十二個月,其年假數目會按比例計算。根據《僱傭條例》的規定和合約條款,受聘人在適用情況下可享有休息日、法定假期(或代替假日)、產假/侍產假和疾病津貼。
附註: (a) 非公務員職位並不是公務員編制內的職位。申請人如獲聘用,將不會按公務員聘用條款和服務條件聘用。獲聘的申請人並非公務員,不會享有獲調派、晉升或轉職至公務員職位的資格。

(b) 除另有指明外,申請人於獲聘時必須是香港特別行政區永久性居民。

(c) 入職薪酬、聘用條款和服務條件,以獲聘時的規定為準。

(g) 持有本港以外學府╱非香港考試及評核局頒授學歷的人士亦可申請,惟其學歷必須經過評審,以確定是否等同職位所要求的學歷。有關申請人須郵寄修業成績表副本和證書副本到查詢地址。

(h) 在臨近截止申請日期,接受網上申請的伺服器可能因為需要處理大量申請而非常繁忙。申請人應盡早遞交申請,以確保在限期前於網上完成申請程序。

Job Title: Contract Building Services Inspection Officer (Full-time)

Entry Requirements: The candidate should -
(1) have a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong Polytechnic / University or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / Technical Institute / Technical College, or equivalent;
(2) have a minimum of 8 years’ relevant post-qualification experience inclusive of at least 4 years’ working experience in building services installations;
(3) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note 1); and
(4) possess general office computer skills.
Note: Note 1: For appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Note 2: Candidates with relevant experience in fire services field including smoke control systems, and having a valid ‘Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate’ will be an advantage.
Duties: (1) To carry out acceptance inspections and compliance tests of Fire Service Installations (FSIs) and smoke control systems for infrastructure and / or railway projects in accordance with the relevant fire safety requirements;
(2) To ensure the compliance of FSIs and smoke control systems with the agreements reached with Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) consultants and Fire Service Installations Contractors (FSIC) at meetings;
(3) To check the submitted technical documents in relation to the acceptance inspections and compliance tests of FSIs and smoke control systems;
(4) To liaise with different parties, including government departments, railway company etc. and attend meetings with Authorised Persons, E&M consultants and FSIC etc. and respond to their enquiries on matters relating to acceptance inspections and compliance tests of FSIs and smoke control systems;
(5) To supervise the work of subordinates; and
(6) To carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from the date of appointment up to 31 March 2022 subject to review for further renewal. Selected candidates will be required to work for 44 hours including meal breaks every workweek from Mondays to Fridays, subject to the arrangement of the supervisors.
Fringe Benefits (a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of the gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), equals to 15% of the total basic salary will be drawn during the contract period; (b) 10 days’ annual leave under a continuous contract of employment for every 12 months. For employee whose contract period is less than 12 months, his / her number of days of paid annual leave will be calculated on a pro rata basis. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions under the Employment Ordinance and the contract terms.
General Notes: (a) Non-civil service vacancies are not posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates appointed are not on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service. Candidates appointed are not civil servants and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any posts in the Civil Service.

(b) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(c) The entry pay, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions / Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the enquiry address.
