This position is open to both male and female. Candidates should –
(a) have completed Secondary 4 education or equivalent;
(b) be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English;
(c) be able to read and write Chinese;
(d) be responsible, independent, able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime; and
(e) have at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.
(Experience in government departments will be an advantage.)
The appointee will be mainly responsible for –
(a) general office support duties, including photocopying, binding, postal services, refilling copying papers and office sundries, assisting in manning the reception counter and filing of documents.
(b) messengerial duties, including indoor and outdoor collection and delivery of documents, mails and other articles;
(c) general manual duties, including cleansing, moving files, documents and newspapers loading/unloading/dispatching of office stores and moving office furniture and equipment when required; and
(d) pantry duties, including serving tea during meetings.
Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. The candidate is expected to assume duty in June 2015.
A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted no less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates together with their application forms.
