Senior Project Manager
$101,620 per month
(a) A recognised degree in Information and Communication Technology(ICT)-related discipline from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(b) At least 15 years of post-qualification working experience in IT field or telecommunication field;
(c) Good knowledge and understanding of market dynamics of wireless industry, Wi-Fi technologies and telecommunication regulations;
(d) Good command of both Chinese and English, both spoken and written;
(e) Excellent report-writing skill and communication skill;
(f) Able to work independently and effectively in an organised manner under pressure and tight schedule;
(g) Good project management experience on ICT-related projects;
(h) Good knowledge and understanding of the requirements of setting up large scale public Wi-Fi service; and
(i) Practical experience in government procedures and operations would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
(a) To manage and supervise the operation of the Public Wi-Fi Section;
(b) To plan and implement a public Wi-Fi project;
(c) To provide support on policy seeking and funding approval process on the Wi-Fi project;
(d) To prepare detailed plans for implementing the Wi-Fi project and be responsible for execution;
(e) To secure support from various project stakeholders within and outside the Government for implementing the Wi-Fi project;
(f) To prepare papers, reports, briefs, responses and related documents with regard to the Wi-Fi project, related enquiries and requests; and
(g) To perform other duties as assigned in relation to the above.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 2 years.
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity, when added together with the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; (b) Fringe benefits, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(h) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
