(a) Secondary 5 standard, or equivalent; (b) at least 5 years’ full-time working experience in customer or counter services (3 years of which are at supervisory level and preference will be given to candidates with working experience in the government or public sector); (c) knowledge of computer application in MS Word and Excel; and (d) preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Chinese input method and experience in handling licensing applications.
(a) Candidates should state clearly in the application form details of academic qualifications and working / supervisory experience in customer or counter services with brief description of duties; (b) applications which are incomplete will not be considered; and (c) candidates are required to undertake a Chinese input method test during the selection interview.
To be deployed in the Transport Department undertaking the following duties: (a) supervise, monitor and oversee the provision of licensing services at the Licensing Offices; (b) carry out supervisory duties and lead a team to process applications of licences, permits and certificates relating to vehicle and driver licensing; (c) operate the VALID IV licensing computer system in the issue of relevant documents and licences and handling of public enquiries, and perform user testing in the computer system; (d) train, manage and supervise the clerical staff at the Licensing Offices; (e) supervise, monitor and manage the enquiry counter at the Licensing Offices including handling of public enquiries and complaints; and (f) perform other administrative or supervisory duties assigned as appropriate.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours and shift duties.)
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to a maximum period of 12 months.
The eligibility of the employee for rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
