(i) A pass in 2 subjects at Advanced Level in the HKALE and 3 other subjects at Grade C/Level 3 or above in the HKCEE, or equivalent; (ii) Have at least one year of post-secondary education full-time working experience.
(1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. (2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language. (3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (4) Written/Computer test(s) may be required.
(i) To provide administrative support for the daily operation of Southern District Council (SDC) including managing the filing system, answering enquiries on DC matters and provide logistic support for functions/projects; (ii) To provide logistic support during the meetings of SDC and its Committees/Working Groups as appropriate; (iii) To assist in vetting and processing of application for Community Involvement Funds; (iv) To assist in handling and following up the procurement of goods and services; (v) To assist in content updating and maintenance of SDC Homepage and the Tourism Website of Southern District; and (vi) To perform any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of one year.
A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the appointee completes the contract satisfactorily with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. The benefits in respect of rest days, statutory holidays (or substitute holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance and confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
