Candidates should – (a) possess a Certificate of Registration (Part I) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (b) possess a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (c) be able to read and write Chinese and English; and (d) be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.
Performing general nursing duties and participating in health education and health promotion activities. Notes : (1) free uniform and laundry will be provided during the period of part-time employment; (2) may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays; (3) may be required to work irregular-hours and outdoors; and (4) working hours and duty roster are to be determined by the management.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be placed on the Part-time Contract Nurse register of the Department of Health and called to work as and when required. Working time per week will be less than 18 hours. The appointment will be on non-civil service contract terms. The contract period will commence on the first report duty date and last up to 31 March 2016.
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/ Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the below enquiry address.

The application period for the post of Part-time Contract Nurse is from 19 December 2014 (Friday) to 2 January 2015 (Friday). Applicants should state in detail in the application form their relevant working experience and registration number in the Register of Nurses. Completed application forms should reach the enquiry address indicated on or before 2 January 2015 (Friday) with the envelope clearly marked “Application for the post of Part-time Contract Nurse”. For applications submitted by post, the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application.
