(a) should have a Hong Kong bachelor's degree or equivalent;
(b) should meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)(See Note), or equivalent; and .
(c) should have excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To assist in organizing recruitment exercises and training programmes;
(b) to co-ordinate and organize publicity programmes;
(c) to assist in procurement of services;
(d) to provide secretarial support; and
(e) to handle general administrative work and any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
(a) successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for about 12 months.
(b) required to work 44 hours per week. Actual working hours may vary depending upon the operational needs.
(c) subject to the exigency of services, required to work with irregular hours and overtimes, including Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday.
The eligibility for the annual leave, rest days, statutory holidays (or substitute holidays), maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with those provided for under the Employment Ordinance.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(e) Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the interview without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.

The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed forms should reach the following enquiry address of the recruiting department on or before the closing date for applications (for those applications sent by post, the postmark date on the envelope will be considered as the date of application) . Applicants must attach copies of academic qualifications to their application forms. Please specify “Application for the Position of Executive Assistant” on the envelope. Applications which are late, incomplete, submitted by fax or by e-mail, not made in the prescribed form or not duly signed will not be considered. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about four to six weeks from the closing date for application.
