(a) have a Hong Kong degree in Computer Science, Information System, or equivalent or above;
(b) (i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 1), or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent;
(c) at least 1 year post-qualification working experience in Java programming with J2EE exposure;
(e) good communication skills, able to work and solve problem independently and able to work under pressure
(1) For appointment purpose, “Grade C” and “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” and “ Level 2” respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(2) For appointment purpose, “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
To develop, maintain and deploy application systems; provide application support; conduct system testing; provide user support; provide user training; compile documentation; assist in disaster recovery activities; and perform other IT-related duties. The appointee may be required to wear pager to provide on-call system support duties.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on 18-month non-civil service contract terms
(a) A gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, when added to the Government’s contributions to the MPF Scheme, will be equivalent to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(b) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance and the contract terms.
(c) The appointees will be subject to the provisions of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance and will be required to make employee’s contributions to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the below enquiry address. If candidates fail to provide the supporting documents as requested, their applications will not be considered.
(h) If candidates fail to provide all information requested in the recruitment advertisement, their applications will not be considered.
