(1) 綜合招聘考試中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。於2006年12月及以後考獲的中文運用及英文運用試卷的「二級」及「一級」成績永久有效。 (2) 香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C級」或以上的成績會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」成績。香港高級程度會考英語運用科或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科「C級」或以上的成績會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。 (3) 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會視為已符合本職位的英文語文能力要求（即入職條件的(b)項）。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日仍然有效。
Candidates should : (a) have a degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ results in the two language papers [Note (1)] (Use of Chinese [Note (2)] and Use of English [Notes (2) & (3)]) in the Common Recruitment Examination(CRE), or equivalent;
(c) have good writing skills in Chinese and English;
(d) fluent in spoken Cantonese, English and Putonghua;
(e) have good knowledge in PC operation such as Chinese MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
(f) be able to work independently and under pressure; and
(g) preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or Communication or with post-qualification relevant experience.
(1) Candidates’ results of the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers of the CRE are classified as ‘Level 2’, ‘Level 1’ or ‘Fail’, with ‘Level 2’ being the highest. ‘Level 2’ and ‘Level 1’ results of the two language papers obtained from December 2006 onwards are of permanent validity. (2) ‘Grade C’ or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) is accepted as equivalent to ‘Level 2’ in the UC paper of the CRE. ‘Grade C’ or above in Use of English of the HKALE or English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to ‘Level 2’ in the UE paper of the CRE. (3) Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test are considered as having met the English language proficiency requirement (item (b) of entry requirements) of the post. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.
(a) To carry out promotion and liaison work within and outside the Government to promote community relations for the Department; (b) To assist in the planning and implementation of public relations activities for the Department; (c) To handle media/public enquiries and complaints; (d) To monitor and circulate media reports; and (e) To assist in the compilation of information and the production of departmental publications and publicity materials.
(Note: The successful candidate may be required to work irregular hours.)
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
Upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory and general holidays, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
