在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會視為已符合會計助理職位的英文語文能力要求(即入職條件的(c)項)。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2015年6月26日)仍然有效。
(a) have a degree in Accountancy from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or be a registered student of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Qualification Programme, or equivalent;
(b) have a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) [Note 1];
(c) have met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent [Note 2];
(d) have at least 3 years’ full-time working experience in areas of accounting/auditing;
(e) possess good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English; and
(f) have sound knowledge in PC software, including MS Excel, SunSystems and MS Word (applicant may be required to sit for a computer skills test).
(1) Candidates’ results in the Aptitude Test (AT) paper are classified as ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’, while the results of the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers are classified as ‘Level 2’, ‘Level 1’ or ‘Fail’, with ‘Level 2’ being the highest.
(2) For appointment purpose, Grade ‘C’ or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or equivalent, is accepted as equivalent to ‘Level 2’ result in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade ‘C’ or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to ‘Level 2’ result in the UC paper of CRE.
Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test are considered as having met the English language proficiency requirement (item (c) of the entry requirements) of the Accounting Executive post. The IELTS test result must be valid on the starting day of the application period, i.e. 26 June 2015.
Successful candidates will be appointed to work in the Financial Services Branch of the Land Registry and be expected to:
(a) perform general accounting duties and compile financial analysis/management reports;
(b) handle costing analysis;
(c) prepare accounting procedures;
(d) assist in the development/enhancement of accounting systems; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.
A gratuity will be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government towards a mandatory provident fund as required by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. An annual leave of 12 days per year of service will be offered.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
