(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent [see Note (i)];
(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note (ii)];
(c) At least 2 years' experience in administration and project management;
(d) Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills;
(e) Good computer skills, preferably with website management experience;
(f) Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure; and
(g) Preference will be given to candidates who have working experience in the government or educational organisations.

(i) Applicants should mark clearly on their application forms the major and minor subjects studied in their degree/certificate of education courses. Applicants possessing additional qualifications (e.g. a second/higher degree in a relevant subject) should include details in their applications.
(ii) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To provide general administrative, executive and logistic support to SCOLAR Early Childhood Language Team / SCOLAR Kindergarten English Language Team [see Remarks];
(b) To monitor and handle financial and accounting matters;
(c) To handle procurement-related and filing matters; and
(d) To perform any other duties as and when assigned by the supervisors.
[Remarks : The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) was established in 1996 to advise the Government on language education issues in general as well as on the use of the Language Fund.]
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 2 years.
14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays, maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
