Contract Part-time Senior Building Services Engineering Assistant
Hourly Salary : HK $260
The candidate should -
(a) have obtained a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent;
(b) have not less than 24 years of relevant experience in building services engineering, particularly in design and plan processing for fire service installations (FSI);
(c) have sufficient knowledge in designing smoke control systems including smoke extraction, pressurization of staircase and ventilation/air-conditioning control systems; and
(d) possess general office computer skills.
(a) To process submissions of FSI plans, design reports and calculations for FSIs, especially smoke control systems; and
(b) To vet and assess applications for use of materials and equipment in ventilating systems and FSIs.
Terms of Appointment:
Selected candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from the date of appointment until 31 March 2016.
Number of working days within a week or month may vary depending on the actual needs. Normally, selected candidate will be required to work at a schedule arranged by the supervisor subject to a minimum of 60 hours per month.
(a) Non-civil service vacancies are not posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates appointed are not on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service. (b) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
(c) The entry pay, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.
