Contract Accounting Supervisor
$27,055 per month
The Contract Accounting Supervisor should (a)(i) have a degree in Accountancy from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or (ii) be a registered student of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Qualification Programme, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and (c) have at least three years’ working experience in the relevant field.
(Note : For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
A Contract Accounting Supervisor is mainly deployed on (a) preparing annual estimates of revenue and expenditure of the Sustainable Fisheries Development Fund (SFDF), and maintaining a proper system of accounts and preparing financial reports on the Fund; (b) assessing the financial viability and budgets of the projects applying for the Fund, in particular those of commercial projects; (c) ensuring that the procurement of goods and services and employment of staff of the approved projects will observe the procedures and conditions laid down in the Application Guidelines of the SFDF and the project agreements; (d) conducting checking and monitoring of the records (e.g. official invoices/ receipts) of the cash inflow and outflow and revenue and expenditure of the approved projects; and (e) checking the annual audited reports, final audited reports and related supporting documents submitted by the approved projects and advising on any irregularities.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms.
Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. 14 days paid annual leave will be granted but there will be no gratuity.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
