入職條件: (1) (i) 持有香港任何一所大學頒發以體育為主修科的學士學位,或具備同等學歷;或 (ii) 於香港任何一間教育學院或香港教育學院修畢兩年/三年全日制訓練課程並選修體育科後,取得教師證書或教育證書,或同等學歷;
(2) 具備八年相關範疇的工作經驗,其中最少有兩年從事體育訓練、管理及督導紀律部隊行動組人員的經驗;
(3) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級[註(a)]或以上成績,或具備同等成績;及
(4) 能操流利粵語及英語。
註: (a) 政府在聘任公務員時,2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C 級及E 級成績,在行政上會分別視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
(b) 申請人在本職位截止接受申請當天(即2015年3月12日),已經取得上文所列的有關學歷。
(c) 如果符合訂明入職條件的申請人人數眾多,招聘部門可以訂立篩選準則,甄選條件較佳的應徵者,以便進一步處理。在此情況下,只有獲篩選的應徵者會獲邀參加遴選面試。
(d) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣,所有公務員職位的招聘,均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。應徵者如獲邀參加遴選面試,會被安排於面試當日參加基本法筆試。筆試會於面試開始前或結束後舉行。應徵者在基本法知識測試的表現,會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素。
職責: 助理消防區長(體能訓練)主要負責(1) 體能訓練組的一般管理工作;(2) 透過制定和管理周年體能測驗及為未能達標的人員而設的體育輔導課程/計劃、在消防處轄下單位安排體能訓練計劃,以及為招聘工作設計全面的體能測試及體格測量方法等,保持和提升全體屬員的體能效率;(3) 制定和落實與全體行動組人員有關的體能訓練政策;(4) 定期研究和評估全體屬員執行行動職務所需的體能要求;以及(5) 就政府向公眾推廣體適能、康樂及體育的計劃擔任本處代表,以及代表本處與多個國家體育組織聯絡並提供協助,以便在各個層面持續推廣體育。【註:須受紀律約束,穿着制服及可能須隨時候召工作。】
聘用條款: 獲錄用的助理消防區長(體能訓練),會按當時適用的試用條款受聘,試用期為三年。如在試用期工作表現令人滿意,試用期滿後可轉為按當時適用的長期聘用條款受聘。在通過試用關限之前,獲取錄的人員必須在試用期內工作表現令人滿意,並完全符合職系的要求及服務需要。
福利: 附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科診療。在適當情況下,公務員更可獲得房屋資助。
附註: (1) 公務員職位是公務員編制內的職位。申請人如獲聘用,將按公務員聘用條款和服務條件聘用,並成為公務員。

Entry Requirements: (1) (i) have a bachelor’s degree in Education major in Physical Education from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or (ii) a Teacher’s Certificate from a Hong Kong College of Education, or a Certificate in Education from Hong Kong Institute of Education, obtained after a 2-year / 3-year full-time training course with Physical Education as an elective subject, or equivalent;
(2) have 8 years’ work experience in the relevant field with at least 2 years’ experience of physical training, managing and supervising operational personnel in disciplined services;
(3) meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (a)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
(4) be able to speak fluent English and Cantonese.
Note: (a) For civil service appointment purpose, Grade C and Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 and Level 2 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(b) By the closing day of the application period (i.e. 12 March 2015), applicants must possess the relevant academic qualifications set out above.
(c) Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the selection interview.
(d) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Candidates who are invited to attend the recruitment interview will be assessed on their BL knowledge through a written test to be conducted immediately before or after the recruitment interview. The BL test result will be one of the considerations to assess the suitability of a candidate.
Duties: An Assistant Divisional Officer (Physical Education) is mainly deployed on (1) the overall management of the Physical Training Establishment; (2) maintaining and enhancing the physical efficiency of all Service personnel by means such as formulating and managing the annual Physical Fitness Assessment and remedial fitness courses/programmes for personnel who are below the required standards, arranging physical fitness programmes at fire services units, and designing comprehensive physical tests and measurements for recruitment exercise; (3) formulating and implementing policies on physical education matters in respect of all operational personnel; (4) undertaking regular studies and evaluation of the physical fitness requirements for all Service personnel to meet their operational commitments; and (5) representing the Department in Government’s initiatives for promotion of physical fitness, recreation and sports for the general public, as well as liaising with and assisting, on behalf of the Department, various national sporting bodies in the continued promotion of sports at all levels. [Note: Subject to discipline; is required to wear uniform and may be required to perform “on-call” duties.]
Terms of Appointment: New recruits will be appointed on prevailing probationary terms for 3 years and may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period. Before passage of probation bar, appointees should be subject to satisfactory completion of service, fulfilment of the requirements of the grade and service need.
