(1)(a) A degree from a local university, or equivalent; and (b) At least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in one or more of the following areas (i) planning and implementation of projects or systems; (ii) administration of information systems or computer network; (iii) event management; (iv) management of contractors and consultants; (v) office administration and human resources management; (2) Good oral and written communication skill in both Chinese and English with Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (1)]; (3) Relevant experience in the Government is an advantage.
(1) ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To provide administrative support to the planning, implementation and review of projects; (b) To provide support in the development, enhancement and application of information systems and computer network; (c) To assist in the management of contractors and consultants; (d) To prepare reports and other documents in connection with projects and other tasks; (e) To organize publicity-related activities or other departmental functions; (f) To provide administrative support to various Branches/Divisions of the Department; (g) To serve as secretary for meetings and committees; (h) To perform any other duties as required of the post.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.
An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend recruitment examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Candidates should give a detailed account of their qualifications and experiences in their application forms and attach relevant documents to their applications. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about six to eight weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
