(a) (i) 為香港測量師學會的正式會員（建築測量組），或具備同等資格，並於取得資格後有一年合適工作經驗；或 (ii) 為香港建築師學會會員，或具備同等資格；及 (b) 在綜合招聘考試的兩張語文試卷（中文運用及英文運用）取得「一級」成績，或具備同等成績，並在綜合招聘考試的能力傾向測試取得及格成績。(見註)
(1) 能力傾向測試的考生成績分為及格或不及格，而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績則分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。 香港高級程度會考英語運用科「C」級或以上和「D」級成績（或同等成績）分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的人士，在考試成績的兩年有效期內，其IELTS成績會視為已符合屋宇測量師職位的英文語文能力要求。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天（即2015年3月13日）仍然有效。 (2) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試（學位/專業程度職系）的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。 (3) 申請人須在本職位截止日期或之前獲取上述的所有入職條件。
Master Pay Scale Point 30 ($51,825 per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 44 ($91,590 per month)
(a) (i) Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Building Surveying Division) or equivalent, plus one year’s appropriate post-qualification experience; or (ii) Members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects or equivalent; and (b) “Level 1” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English), or equivalent results, and a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE). (See Note)
(1) Candidates' results in the Aptitude Test (AT) paper are classified as pass or fail, the results of the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers are classified as “Level 2”, “Level 1” or “Fail”, with “Level 2” being the highest. Grade “C” or above and Grade “D” in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or equivalent, are accepted as equivalent to “Level 2” and “Level 1” results respectively in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade “C” or above and Grade “D” in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE are accepted as equivalent to “Level 2” and “Level 1” results respectively in the UC paper of the CRE. Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test are considered as having met the English language proficiency requirement of the Building Surveyor post. The IELTS test result must be valid on the starting day of the application period, i.e. 13 March 2015. (2) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Results of the BL test for degree/ professional grades will be one of the considerations to assess the suitability of a candidate but will not affect his/her eligibility for applying for civil service jobs. As a general principle, the main consideration for suitability for appointment remains a candidate’s qualification, experience and calibre. (3) Candidates should obtain all the above-mentioned entry requirements on or before the closing date of application.
(a) To process buildings plans, applications for consent to commencement of works, certificates of completion of works, applications for occupation permits and licences/registrations; and to carry out site audit checks on building works in progress and minor works; (b) To deal with unauthorized building works, dilapidated and dangerous buildings, defective drains, dangerous slopes and retaining structures; and to take necessary enforcement actions including statutory orders/notices and emergency works; (c) To administer the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme; (d) To evaluate the fire safety provisions of existing buildings and specify the required fire safety improvement works; and (e) To instigate prosecution and disciplinary actions; to coordinate responses to appeals; and to carry out legislative review and research.
[Note: Successful candidates appointed are required to perform outdoor duties, may be required to work shifts or irregular hours, and may be seconded to other government departments.]
Terms of Appointment:
A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
