Candidates should – (a) (i) Have a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply issued by the former Hong Kong Polytechnic, or equivalent; or (ii) Have a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply issued by the Hong Kong Baptist University - School of Continuing Education, or equivalent; or (iii) Have a Professional Diploma in Strategic Purchasing & Supply Chain Management issued by the Institute of Purchasing and Supply of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, or equivalent; or (iv) Be a Full Member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply of Hong Kong; (b) Have Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (c) Possess 10 years’ full time working experience in supervising procurement and supplies matters; (d) Have good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; (e) Be proficient in computer application; and (f) Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To handle the procurement of stores and services in relation to the electoral activities in accordance with relevant government regulations; (b) To advise on all stores and procurement procedures; and (c) To advise on the management of departmental stores.
Note: May be required to work overtime and work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for around 12 months.
12 days of annual leave, full pay sickness allowance and maternity leave whereas rest days and statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
