(a) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree AND a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [see Note (i)]; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note (ii)]; (c) at least four years' post-degree full-time working experience in education [see Note (iii)]; (d) good interpersonal and communication skills; and (e) good knowledge in the application of information technology in education.
(i) Candidates should state clearly on their application forms the major and minor subjects studied in their degree courses. Candidates possessing additional qualifications (e.g. a higher degree in a relevant subject) should include details in their applications. (ii) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (iii) Candidates should state the nature and relevancy of the post-qualification experience.
(a) To assess Quality Education Fund (QEF) applications and prepare agreements for approved projects; (b) To monitor progress of funded QEF projects by conducting site visits, process requests for project variations, review the progress with grantees and evaluate the projects on completion; (c) To assist in organising / conducting QEF promotion activities, including briefing sessions for applicants / grantees, consultation sessions and proposal writing workshops; and (d) To liaise with other relevant units / departments and answer enquiries on matters related to QEF projects.
[Remarks : Successful candidates are required to pay visits to relevant schools / organizations and when necessary, work overtime / irregular hours.]
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
(a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
