Candidate should : (a) have a degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, or a related discipline; (b) have at least 10 years' post-qualification Information Technology experience (including system analysis experience) or equivalent level implementing major IT projects in a sizable organization with emphasis on information management, database management, user requirements study, systems implementation and support; (c) possess knowledge and experience in managing intranet development and maintaining of Internet Web sites; (d) have at least two years of deployment experience on Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2010 or above; (e) have at least six years' IT experience in client-server and web-based systems development and implementation using at least 3 of the following technologies: (i) Relational Database (Oracle, SQL Server and/or MySQL) and related development tools; (ii) Knowledge Management portal; (iii) Eform applications (iv) JAVA and/or .NET programming; (v) Web/Application Servers including .NET; (vi) C#, SQL, VISUAL BASIC, and/or ActionScript; (vii) Taxonomy and Metadata implementation in Sharepoint platform; (f) have attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent; (N.B.: Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE is accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.).
Candidate who has knowledge and experience in government IT projects implementation and application support is preferred.
(a) To oversee and manage the migration of DSD intranet portals to Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 platform; and (b) To assist in system administration, support and maintenance of the IT systems and applications; and (c) To implement Eforms and knowledge management portal under the Sharepoint 2013 platform; and (d) To assist in arranging activities related to system support, e.g. briefings, workshops, training, system documentation etc.; and (e) To act as the Database Administrator to plan, design, implement, administer, support and maintain the departmental core database on Oracle platform for EIM and other IT systems; and (f) Provide technical support to programmers in systems support.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
Upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory and general holidays, annual leave, maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
