(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree or equivalent;
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 [Note] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(c) A minimum of 5 years' post-degree full-time working experience at management level;
(d) Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English;
(e) Solid knowledge of local education system;
(f) Good leadership and organizational ability, as well as analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
(g) Proficient in common computer applications (including word-processing, Chinese input, presentation, spreadsheet, Internet surfing, database management and webpage design); and
(h) Preference will be given to those with experience in project management, especially e-learning or research studies, as well as working experience in public sector organizations.
For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(a) To assist in planning, coordinating, monitoring and supporting the research studies for constant monitoring of the impact and fine-tuning the implementation of the Fourth Strategy on Information Technology in Education (ITE4);
(b) To manage the tender exercise including the preparation of tender documents, the issue and evaluation of tenders, the conduct of tender negotiation, the preparation of tender report;
(c) To prepare project plan(s) and draft documents (e.g. letters, circulars, publicity materials, papers, etc.) related to various initiatives/actions under the ITE4;
(d) To develop and maintain good network with government departments, non-governmental organizations, as well as liaising with schools and other parties for coordinating, launching and monitoring various ITE4 activities (e.g. briefings, seminars, workshops, talks, school visits, etc.);
(e) To assist in setting up a platform for knowledge building among the school community to integrate and synergize different e-resources for effective learning and teaching as well as professional development for teachers;
(f) To manage territory-wide school survey(s) annually so as to track the conditions of IT infrastructure and the progress of ITE implementation; and
(g) To perform any other related duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for about 2 years.
(a)14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays, maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
