入職條件:	申請人必須 (a) 持有根據香港法例第161章《醫生註冊條例》在香港註冊的醫科資格；及 (b) 持有下列其中一項行政醫學，社會醫學，公共衞生醫學，以及職業及環境醫學，相關的專科資格，並具備最少5年註冊後的相關專科經驗－ - 香港醫學專科學院社會醫學科專科院士資格；或 - 香港醫務委員會相關專科登記名冊中的註冊專科資格；或 - 由海外認可機構頒發與相關專科資格有關的專科；或同等資格；以及 (c) 符合語文能力要求，即在綜合招聘考試的兩張語文試卷(中文運用及英文運用)中取得一級或以上成績，或具同等成績；以及能操流利粵語及英語[註2 ]；以及 (d) 在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績。 （備註： 未取得所需的綜合招聘考試成績或同等成績，但符合其他入職條件者，亦可提交申請。）

職責:	主要負責執行下列綱領範圍的臨牀及非臨牀職責： (a) 法定職責–針對各個公共衞生領域開展定期許可和監督活動、支援醫務衞生局進行立法或修定法律工作、規劃和監督執法活動； (b) 預防疾病和控制–疫情調查、疾病監測和流行病學、緊急應變、感染控制活動等； (c) 促進健康–檢視科學證據、透過生命歷程方式組織健康促進計劃、專題和疾病促進計劃、生活模式改變計劃； (d) 醫療護理及康復服務； (e) 計劃管理–籌劃、推行及檢討公共衞生計劃，例如疫苗接種計劃、長者醫療券計劃、大腸癌篩檢計劃、戒菸公私合作計劃等； (f) 管理基層醫療服務； (g) 食品安全－食品監測、風險管理、溝通、緊急應變和食品事故調查； (h) 衞生行政–例如服務和人力規劃、國際合作等；以及 (i) 科學研究。 (備註：獲取錄的申請人可能須在正常工作時間以外輪班工作及執行隨時候召職務。)
聘用條款:	獲取錄的申請人會按公務員合約條款受聘，為期三年。繼續聘任與否視乎政府的決定。如受聘人在合約期內工作表現和行為一直良好，在合約圓滿結束後可獲發約滿酬金。該筆酬金連同政府向強制性公積金計劃作出的供款，相等於合約期所得底薪總額的15%。

Entry Requirements:	Candidates should - (a) have a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance, Cap. 161; and (b) have one of the following relevant higher qualifications in the relevant specialties of Administrative Medicine, Community Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Public Health Medicine, and a minimum of five years of post-registration experience in the relevant specialties: - Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Community Medicine); or - Specialist registered under the relevant specialty in the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Hong Kong; or - Specialist or equivalent status conferred by a competent authority outside Hong Kong; and (c) meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 or above results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English(Notes 2) ; and (d) a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST). (Remarks: Applicants without the requisite CRE results, or equivalent, but have met the other entry requirements may also apply.)

(2) (a) Candidates’ results in the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers of the CRE are classified as Level 2, Level 1 or Fail, with Level 2 being the highest. Level 4 in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade D in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade D in English Language of the GCE A Level, are accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UE paper of the CRE. (d) Candidates who do not have Level 1 in UC paper of the CRE by the time of appointment may also be appointed. Applicants who do not possess the requisite Chinese language proficiency but are able to speak fluent Cantonese may be appointed subject to the operational needs of the Department. (e) Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test result are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period. (3) Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend recruitment examination and/ or interview. Duties:	Mainly deployed on clinical and non-clinical duties in the following programme areas: (a) statutory functions – perform regular licensing and monitoring activities for various public health domains, support the Health Bureau throughout the legislative process, plan and monitor enforcement activities; (b) disease prevention and control – outbreak investigation, surveillance and epidemiology of diseases, emergency preparedness, infection control activities, etc; (c) health promotion – review scientific evidence, plan, organise and evaluate health promotion programmes through life-course approach, topical and disease-based promotion programmes, lifestyle modification programme; (d) curative care and rehabilitation service; (e) programme management – plan, implement and evaluation public health programmes, e.g. vaccination programme, Elderly Healthcare Voucher Scheme, Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme, Smoking Cessation Public Private Partnership Programme, etc.; (f) management of primary care services; (g) food safety – food surveillance, risk management, communication, emergency response and investigation of food incidents; (h) health administration – service and manpower planning, international collaboration, etc.; and (i) scientific researches. (Remarks: Selected candidates may be required to work shifts outside normal working hours and perform on-call duties.)
Terms of Appointment:	Successful candidates will be appointed on civil service agreement terms for three years. The offer of further appointment is solely at the discretion of Government. A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
