Candidates should have –
(a) a degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent;
(b) a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification full-time working experience in administration/committee work including two years or more at managerial level, experience working in the Government/public sector organisation an advantage;
(c) good command of both Chinese and English and have met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (please refer to the Note below); and
(d) good interpersonal and communication skills.
Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese paper of the CRE.
(a) To assist in the preparation for the tender exercise for service required by the Working Family Allowance Office;
(b) To liaise with stakeholders concerned for smooth conduct of the service;
(c) To provide secretariat support for all working groups;
(d) To prepare regular progress update on the work of consultant awarded the contract for the service; and
(e) To perform basic financial transaction functions.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for two years.
(a) An annual leave of 14 days per year of service will be offered;
(b) Rest days, public holidays, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance; and
(c) A gratuity will be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government towards a mandatory provident fund as required by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend recruitment examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the Enquiry Address.

Completed application form, together with a cover letter and full resume setting out detailed relevant experience in all current and/or previous employment, and a copy of academic/professional qualifications, relevant certificates and official transcripts of studies, should reach the Enquiry Address on or before the closing date.
