(a) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent (holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. (b) at least 10 years' work experience, with at least 6 years' administration experience in local public sector or higher education field;
(c) strong planning and organisational abilities and ability to work independently under pressure;
(d) good knowledge of the local community and the higher education sector;
(e) outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
(f) excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua; and
(g) good knowledge of application of computer software like word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and data analysis tools.

(a) Planning and implementing projects and activities in cooperation with the higher education sector;
(b) Establishing and maintaining an effective communication network with relevant stakeholders of the higher education sector;
(c) Undertaking management and administrative duties for the said projects and activities like conducting background research, and preparing fact sheets and information folders, etc.;
(d) Providing secretariat support to various working groups and committees formed under the Higher Education Division, including making logistical arrangements for meetings, managing relevant consultancy studies / pilot projects, preparing discussion / information papers and notes of meetings, and overseeing necessary follow-up actions; and
(e) Undertaking any other duties as and when required.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 2 years.
(a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
