HK$57,275 to HK$70,490 per month depending on relevant experience of the candidate.
Candidates should (a) have at least 8 years of Air Traffic Control (ATC) experience in which at least 5 years as a practicing air traffic controller; and (b) have good knowledge of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) procedures, standards and practice; aviation law, navigation and meteorology; and communications, navigation and surveillance systems.
A Project Officer (Air Traffic Management) is mainly deployed on duties related to the Three-Runway System (3RS) project as follows: • To develop and formulate new ATC operational procedures (Aerodrome and/or Approach Control) for the 3RS operations; • To conduct safety assessments in the development of ATC operational procedures and relevant flight procedures; • To assist in the evaluation on the new taxiways and parking bays layout options; • To review current ATC operational procedures to identify changes required for smooth transition to future 3RS operations; • To assist in the evaluation and development of flight procedures and ATC noise mitigating measures in relation to the 3RS project; • To conduct Air Traffic Flow Management and runway capacity analysis on the 3RS operation; • To liaise with airlines, relevant government departments and AAHK as required on the development of ATC and flight procedures in relation to the 3RS project; and • To assist in responding to enquiries about the 3RS project and provide support in related public relation, visits and public engagement activities as required.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to 31 March 2016.
An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is completed with satisfactory performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. 14 days’ annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays, maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
