(a) A minimum of 15 years' full-time managerial or administration working experience, with at least 5 years' service in education sector[see Note (i) and (ii)];
(b) A minimum of 2 years' full-time experience in coordinating and organising events / activities. Experience in organising sizable international events / activities is preferable[see Note (i) and (ii)];
(c) Good education background [see Note (ii)];
(d) Extensive network with event organisers and relevant government bureau and departments;
(e) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English. Good command of Putonghua will be an advantage;
(f) Ability to work independently under pressure and tight time schedule in a demanding corporate environment; and
(g) good knowledge of government operations.

(a) To assist in overseeing the organisation of the 57th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2016 with collaboration of and liaison with the host organisation and host university;
(b) to provide relevant information to the host organization and advise on the programme planning and implementation in facilitating the successful delivery of IMO 2016;
(c) to represent the Education Bureau to attend relevant committees and perform necessary liaison work with the stakeholders, as well as various Government Bureaux and Departments;
(d) to organize meetings relating to the IMO 2016; and
(e) to undertake any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employes on non-civil service contract terms until October 2016.
(a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
