(a) A minimum of 20 years' full-time working experience in education including organising events / activities [see Notes (ii) and (iii)];
(b) At least 10 years' experience in planning and leading sizable international events / activities [see Notes (ii) and (iii)];
(c) Good education background [see Note (iii)];
(d) Extensive network with event organisers and relevant government bureau and departments;
(e) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English. Good command of Putonghua will be an advantage;
(f) Ability to work independently under pressure and tight time schedule in a demanding corporate environment; and
(g) good knowledge of government operations.

(i) The employee shall work at least 18 hours per week and may be required to work during or outside normal office hours on any days, including weekdays (Monday to Friday), Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, etc. The number of working hours is subject to the operational needs;

(a) To assist in overseeing the organisation of the 57th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2016 with collaboration of and liaison with the host organisation and host university;
(b) to provide professional advice on the programme planning and implementation of IMO 2016;
(c) to provide relevant information to the host organization in facilitating the successful delivery of IMO 2016;
(d) to represent the Education Bureau at relevant committees and perform necessary liaison work with the stakeholders, as well as various Government Bureaux and Departments;
(e) to organize meetings relating to the IMO 2016; and
(f) to undertake any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms up to October 2016.
