Video Ingestion Assistant (Part-time)
(Employed on contract terms for not more than 12 months, depending on job requirement.)
$70 per hour
Candidates should be –
(a) (i) students pursuing a Degree / an accredited Higher Diploma / an accredited Associate
Degree, majoring in Journalism & Communication / Multimedia Studies or related
discipline, from a HK tertiary institution, or equivalent; OR
(ii) 2 years’ relevant experience in video ingestion / video production; AND
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese language and English language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) / Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note 1].
Candidates who possess experience in video editing using Mac OS or other industry recognized software will have an advantage.
Note 1: "Grade E" in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to "Level 2" in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE.
Assisting in the ingestion and delivery of video releases, assisting in video digitization into computer system for storage and repackaging; handling other administrative matters and ad hoc assignments. (Notes: During the interview, candidates may be required to present 3 video clip(s) which can showcase their editing skills / knowledge.)
Terms of Appointment:
Employed on contract terms for not more than 12 months, depending on job requirement. (Note: Required to work irregular hours and on Sundays and Public Holidays.)
Rest day, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s web site (http://www.csb.gov.hk) or Radio Television Hong Kong’s web site (http://app3.rthk.hk/recruit/index_e.php). Completed forms with “Job Title” clearly stated on the envelope should reach the enquiry address on or before the closing date for application. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about 8 weeks from the closing date for application.
