Candidates should –
(a) have either one of the following qualifications, or equivalent:
(i) completed Secondary Three education or equivalent; and with three years of relevant working experience;
(ii) completed Primary Six education or equivalent; and with six years of relevant working experience;
(iii) satisfactorily completed an approved and relevant Printing Apprenticeship Scheme;
(iv) a Diploma in Vocational Studies in Advertising, Packaging and Printing; or a Technician Foundation Certificate in Printing Digital Workflow Production from the Vocational Training Council, or equivalent; and with two years of relevant working experience;
(b) be able to independently and skillfully operate:
(i) Heidelberg 5-Colour (CD102-5), Heidelberg 4-Colour (SM102VP), Heidelberg 2-Colour (SM102-P), manroland 5-Colour (R705);
(ii) Heidelberg 2-Colour (PM74/SM74), Ryobi 1-Colour (Ryobi 520X-NP), Heidelberg Letterpress (KSD), Form Consulta web-press;
(c) have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Primary Six standard.
(1) Candidates will be required to pass a trade test.
(2) Good knowledge of various printing machines listed above will be an advantage.
(3) Working hours and the number of hours of work in each shift are subject to prevailing operational needs and are not fixed. No guarantee on the minimum hours of work in any given period. Working hours may be during the day or overnight on weekdays (Monday to Friday), weekends and public holidays etc.
(4) Salary is not paid for meal break.
(5) There is no specific closing date for application for this position, but applications will close without further announcement when all the vacancies are filled.
A Printing Machine Operator is mainly responsible for operating the printing machines listed above and related duties.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for twelve months. Subject to operational needs, employees with good performance may have opportunity for contract renewal after completion of the first contract.
Fringe benefits such as rest days and statutory holidays, etc, will be granted in line with the provision of the Employment Ordinance and the contract terms.

Only candidates passing the interview will be invited for the trade test.
