Candidates should be Hong Kong students who are studying degree programme in the field of accountancy offered by local or non-local accredited post-secondary institutions, and proficient in using MS Word and Excel.
(a) Preference will be given to students who have knowledge of taxation, including stamp duty;
(b) Final year students, i.e. to be graduated in 2015 will not be considered; and
(c) Interns are required to make themselves available for duty in early June 2015 and to serve out the whole period of internship until 31 August 2015.
(a) To handle taxpayers’ enquiries on simple tax matters;
(b) To assist in screening and processing of tax returns and applications; and
(c) To assist in preparing assessments including but not limited to handling e-Stamping cases for property transfer, conducting ad hoc research in relation to property and stock market, and preliminary vetting of adjudication cases.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be offered appointment for about three months (June to August 2015) on non-civil service contract terms. Candidates who have not been notified by the Inland Revenue Department by late May 2015 may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. (Selection interviews are not required.)
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
