Summer Intern - StartmeupHK and Research & Knowledge Management (Ref: SI/03/2015)
Salary: HK$9,200 per month
(a) be currently enrolled in full-time degree courses (or equivalent), preferably in the stream of business administration, marketing and economics;
(b) have attained ‘Level 3’ or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent
(c) be proficient in English and Cantonese;
(d) have good analytical and internet skills;
(e) be proficient in the application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
(a) Perform administrative duties to support the activities of the StartemupHK team including but not limited to the following: maintaining contact and event databases, online research on the startup landscape for presentations and other materials, data entry on SMUHK prospects and projects onto CRM system, etc.;
(b) Attend startup related events occasionally in Hong Kong that may bring about lead generation;
(c) Provide desk research support and compile statistics to answer enquiries from internal colleagues and external parties, specifically related to economic, trade and FDI related subject;
(d) IHK Library annual maintenance;
(e) To help capture useful lead information for potential companies planning to set up offices in Hong Kong and share the information via CRM.
Terms of Appointment:
Except otherwise provided in the appointment letter, rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance. The appointees will not be civil servants and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any posts in the civil service.
