(a) Possess a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; (b) Have a minimum of 15 years’ relevant full-time post-qualification executive and management experience at a senior level in a public service setting (government and statutory organisations); executive and managerial experience in project planning/development/administration, handling/monitoring fund allocation matters, and/or publicity campaign will be of an advantage; (c) Have attained “Level 3” or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note); (d) Be fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English; and (e) Be proficient in computer knowledge and skills, including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
To work independently and lead a team of staff in performing the following duties in relation to training and promotion initiatives for the financial services sector: (a) to conduct project planning and draw up implementation details; (b) to work out arrangements in collaboration with the implementation partners; (c) to liaise with different industry associations, education institutions and relevant parties; (d) to monitor and review the implementation, financial position and effectiveness of the initiatives; (e) to prepare agreements, reports and other documents related to the funding and implementation of the initiatives; and (f) to perform other duties as required.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of one year. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Branch and the performance of the candidate.
An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution to be made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
