(a) Completed Secondary 5, or equivalent;
(b) Able to read and write Chinese and English;
(c) Able to speak fluent Cantonese, English and Putonghua; and
(d) Possess at least 2 years’ full-time post qualification working experience (See Note).
(Note: Candidates who possess relevant working experience may have an advantage.)
Provide ticket inspection, audience admission and crowd control service. Communicate with the patrons. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisors (See Note).
[Note: Required to work under stage lighting in dark and noisy environment with stepped aisles; walk and stand for a long period of time; wear uniform; and work irregular hours including daytime, evening, weekends and public holidays. ]
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Application forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s web site (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed application forms should reach the following address on or before the closing date for application (postmark will be referred to for the submission date of applications by mail) with the envelope clearly marked with “Application for the position of Part-time Usher”. Applications which are incomplete, late or submitted by fax or email will not be considered.
Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about eight weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
