Non-Civil Service Contract Part-time Usher
HK$50 per hour
(a) Completed Secondary 5, or equivalent; (b) Possess at least 2 years’ full-time working experience; (c) Able to read and write Chinese and English, fluent in Cantonese and English, have knowledge in Putonghua; and (d) Applicants with knowledge in Chinese dialects, with ushering or relevant experience, or able to work during daytime on weekdays may have an advantage.
(a) Working location: Tsuen Wan Town Hall OR Kwai Tsing Theatre [Applicants are required to indicate clearly the preference of working location next to the ‘Title of job applied for’ blank in the application form (with “1” meaning the highest priority). E.g. 1. Kwai Tsing Theatre; 2. Tsuen Wan Town Hall]; (b) Works in irregular hours from Mondays to Sundays including public holidays (Applicants who are able to work during daytime of weekdays may have an advantage); (c) The working hours depend on the programmes. May need to work after mid-night. A minimum of 3 hours per session on an on-call basis; and (d) Wearing uniform is a must.
To perform ticket inspection, house programmes and pamphlet distribution, ushering, crowd control and other duties. Details to be arranged by the management. Need to work under stage music effect and stage lighting (dim in general); climb steep stairs; communicate with patrons; guide and direct patrons to their seats; and assist in enforcing venue's house regulations.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful applicants will be appointed on Non-civil Service Contract Terms.

Applications must be made on the form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), copies of which are obtainable from any Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). The completed application form must reach the below enquiry address not later than the closing date for application (The postmark will be referred to for the submission dates of applications by mail). Applicants who are not invited for interview in about ten weeks from the closing date for application may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
