Temporary Venue Helper (Full-time / Part-time)
HK$11,505 per month (Full-time) / HK$59 per hour (Part-time)
(a) be a Hong Kong Permanent Resident aged 18 or above; and
(b) possess good communication skills.
[Note: Possession of work experience in crowd control or property management will be an advantage.]
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting applications for the position of Temporary Venue Helper (Full-time / Part-time). Successful candidates can choose either full-time or part-time employment and will be deployed to work at recreation and sports venues at the discretion of the LCSD.
(a) To assist in visitor management of venues such as crowd control in reception / waiting areas;
(b) To perform body temperature check on visitors;
(c) To perform patrol to ensure users' compliance with the venue rules; and
(d) To assist venue management in other general duties (including outdoor duties).
Full-time : The conditioned working hours are 45 hours net per week (excluding meal breaks). Appointed candidates may be required to perform shifts duties, work irregular hours and overtime (including on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.
Part-time : Appointed candidates may be required to perform shift duties and work irregular hours (including on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for about six months.
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(A) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(1) Application Forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centre of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's web site (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
(2) Completed application forms should reach the enquiry address on or before the closing date. Please specify on the envelope “Application for Temporary Venue Helper”. Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post. Applications which are incomplete, late, or submitted by fax or email, or not duly signed, or not made in the prescribed form will not be considered.
(3) Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation within 1 to 2 weeks from the closing date for applications. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
