(a) be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) be full-time Year 2 or above students of undergraduate or post-graduate programmes in post-secondary institutions;
(c) have attained ‘Level 3’ or above in English Language and Chinese Language [Note (1)] in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(d) be proficient in using MS Office application; and
(e) be fluent in both Cantonese and English.
(1) For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in English Language and Chinese Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Assist in the implementation of the new legislation database for HK legislation; involve in the Verification of Laws Program; assist in the compilation and publication of HK legislation; conduct research and carry out clerical works; and perform such other duties as assigned by the supervising counsel from time to time.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service terms until March 2016. They will be required to work during office hours from Monday to Friday on either regular or ad hoc basis. The actual hours of work will depend on the operational needs of the Department and the availability of the successful candidates.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
