$459 per hour (This is a part-time post which requires the officer to work 70 hours per month)
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree and a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(b) A master's degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution (focusing in area related to teaching, curriculum development, educational administration and management, or school leadership is preferred), or equivalent;
(c) At least 10 years' post bachelor's degree education-related experience, of which at least 5 years' experience in principalship in local primary/secondary schools or at least 5 years' experience in participating in educational research/studies; and
(d) Very good command of written English and Chinese; oral proficiency in English and Cantonese is essential; familiar with Hong Kong education systems and current educational policies; strong analytical skills; pleasant, good inter-personal and communication skills, committed and able to work independently as well as in a team.
(a) To provide professional input and advice on formulating the standards for the teaching profession;
(b) To draft and refine the framework and descriptors of the standards for the teaching profession;
(c) To conduct meetings with stakeholder groups and prepare reports; and
(d) To perform any other duties as assigned by the seniors.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms up to 29 February 2016.
