職責:	綜合季節性救生見習員(泳池救生章) 見習員主要接受拯溺訓練和認識泳池的日常運作，以考取香港拯溺總會頒發的泳池救生章。 全職泳池季節性救生員 (1) 在本署轄下公眾泳池照顧泳客的安全； (2) 拯救遇溺泳客； (3) 維持秩序；以及 (4) 保持場地清潔等。 入職訓練 在受僱期間，見習員會獲安排修讀有關職業技能訓練課程（由有關專業團體提供）及參與專業考試以考取以下的拯溺資格： （1） 拯溺銅章； （2） 急救證書； （3） 水上急救證書；以及 （4） 泳池救生章； 見習員須先繳付港幣2,500元按金作為訓練和考試費用。為鼓勵見習員成功考取有關的拯溺資格，以及擔任全職泳池季節性救生員一職，見習員只要圓滿完成和通過由本署指定的訓練和考試，並接受本署聘任為全職泳池季節性救生員，以及完成全職泳池季節性救生員的整段合約期，期間行為和表現良好，便可獲發還上述按金。 如本署中止或取消計劃，會向見習員發還已繳付的按金。 在以下任何一種情況下，見習員將不獲發還有關按金： （1） 見習員未能圓滿完成本署指定的訓練及場地實習； （2） 見習員未能通過本署指定的考試； （3） 見習員在圓滿完成及通過本署指定的培訓和考試後，拒絕或未能接受本署聘任為全職泳池季節性救生員；或 （4） 見習員未能在本署滿意的情況下完成全職泳池季節性救生員的整段合約期。 薪酬 成功獲聘者會以見習員身份接受為期約一個月的培訓，每月訓練津貼為港幣 13,990元。圓滿完成和通過本署指定的培訓和考試後，會獲正式聘任為全職季節性救生員，月薪最高為港幣20,000元。 當值時間 綜合季節性救生見習員(泳池救生章) 見習員須在本署指定的時間（一般為星期一至六）接受總時數約為100小時的全日制訓練和考試，為期約一個月。另外，見習員須依從本署根據運作需要調派往本署轄下公眾泳池工作。訓練和工作合共時數為每星期45小時（不包括用膳時間），可能須不定時、超時及輪班工作（包括星期六、日及公眾假期），實際訓練及工作時間由主管安排。 全職泳池季節性救生員 全職泳池季節性救生員的每週標準工作時數是45小時。每天工作7個半小時（不包括用膳時間）。須按照所屬主管人員的安排，在上午6時15分至晚上10時15分期間輪班當值，或須超時工作，並須在星期六、日及公眾假期當值，實際工作時間由主管安排。
聘用條款:	獲聘用者將按非公務員合約條款受聘。 見習員入職訓練預計於2023年第一季展開，實際時間以合約條款為準。見習員圓滿完成及通過由本署指定的訓練和考試後，將直接獲聘任為全職泳池季節性救生員。受聘為全職泳池季節性救生員後，他們必須在2023年泳季期間於本署公眾泳池執行拯溺及相關任務。 [註: 獲聘人員須依從本署根據運作需要不時調派往本署任何一個公眾泳池工作。] 獲聘的全職泳池季節性救生員將按非公務員合約條款受聘。

Entry Requirements:	Candidates should: (1) attain a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard; (2) pass an eyesight test and the Ishihara’s Test for colour-blindness (A candidate’s visual acuity should be at least 6/60, i.e. myopia not exceeding roughly 300 degrees. Wearing of plastic corrective lens and goggles with appropriate prescription while on duty is mandatory unless candidates have unaided good eyesight for lifesaving duties); (3) pass a swimming test by swimming 50 metres forward in 1 minute or less time in any style without wearing swimming goggles; and (4) pass a selection interview. [Notes: (1) Applicants will not be considered if they possess a valid Pool Lifeguard Award or Beach Lifeguard Award or above issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society by the closing date of application. (2) Candidates without supporting documents of the Chinese and English languages proficiency of (1) above may also apply. There will be assessments of Chinese and English languages proficiency during interview. (3) Trainees who can successfully complete and pass the training and examinations as designated by the LCSD will be directly appointed as a Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard. He/ She will be remunerated at a salary of a full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard from the date of appointment. (4) Applicants who possess a valid First Aid Certificate issued by the St John Ambulance Association, Hong Kong Red Cross or Auxiliary Medical Service throughout the whole contract period of full-time Seasonal Lifeguard as determined by the LCSD (on a single contract basis, excluding the contract period of Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees (Pool Lifeguard Award)) may be granted an additional amount of HK$300 per month during the whole contract period of Seasonal Lifeguard (excluding the contract period of Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees (Pool Lifeguard Award)) as determined by the LCSD. To be eligible for additional pay as specified above, selected candidates who are offered an appointment as Seasonal Lifeguard must present a true copy of valid First Aid Certificate, prior to his/ her signing of a contract with the LCSD, and that the remaining valid period (calculated from the effective date of the contract of Seasonal Lifeguard) of that First Aid Certificate must be longer than or equivalent to the designated contract period of Seasonal Lifeguard as prescribed by the LCSD. (5) The LCSD reserves the rights to modify, abort or cancel the Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Training Scheme.]
Note:	The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting eligible persons to apply for the Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Training Scheme. Successfully employed Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees (Pool Lifeguard Award) (Trainees) will undergo around one month training (the training period). Upon successful completion of training and passing the examinations as designated by the LCSD, Trainees will obtain Pool Lifeguard Award issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society. Trainees will also be directly appointed as full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard (with monthly salary of HK$20,000 in 2022 swimming season) in the LCSD to perform lifesaving and related duties at any public swimming pools of the LCSD until 31 October 2023 or the end of swimming season in 2023 swimming season according to operational need. Duties:	Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees (Pool Lifeguard Award) Trainees mainly undergo training in lifesaving and get familiar with the daily operation of swimming pools for the purpose of acquisition of Pool Lifeguard Award issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society. Full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard (1) To ensure the safety of swimmers at public swimming pools of the LCSD; (2) To rescue drowning swimmers; (3) To maintain order; and (4) To perform cleaning work, etc. In-service Training Trainees will be arranged to attend related vocational training courses (provided by relevant professional institutions) and sit for professional examinations for attainment of the following lifesaving qualifications during the employment period: (1) Bronze Medallion; (2) First Aid; (3) Aquatic First Aid; and (4) Pool Lifeguard Award Trainees are required to first pay a deposit HK$2,500 for attending the training and examinations. To encourage Trainees to successfully acquire lifesaving qualifications and serve as full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards, the deposit will be refunded to those who have successfully completed and passed the training and examinations as designated by the LCSD, accepted the direct appointment as full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards and completed the whole contract period of full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards to the satisfaction of the LCSD. On abortion and cancellation of the Scheme, the LCSD will refund to the trainees the amount of deposit that they have paid. The deposit will not be refunded to those trainees in any one of the following situations – (1) those who fail to successfully complete the training and on-site practical training as designated by the LCSD; (2) those who fail to pass the examinations as designated by the LCSD; (3) those who do not accept or cannot accept the direct appointment as full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards after successfully completing and passing the training and examinations as designated by the LCSD; or (4) those who fail to complete the whole contract period as Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards to the satisfaction of the LCSD. Salary Successful candidates will become combined seasonal lifeguard trainees to receive one month training and their monthly allowance will be HK$13,990. After successfully completing and passing the training and examinations as designated by the Department, they will be appointed as full-time seasonal lifeguards and their monthly maximum salary will be HK$20,000. Working Hours Combined Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees (Pool Lifeguard Award)) Trainees are required to receive full-time mode training and examinations of around 100 hours as designated by the LCSD (normally scheduled from Monday to Saturday), the duration will be approximately one month. Trainees are also required to be deployed to work at any public swimming pools at the discretion of the LCSD based on operational needs. The total hours of training and work are 45 hours net per week (excluding meal breaks). Trainees may need to work on irregular hours, overtime and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Actual training and working hours will be arranged by supervisors. Full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard The conditioned working hours of a full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard are 45 hours net per week with 7.5 hours per day (excluding meal breaks). The incumbents are required to work on shifts during the period from 6:15 am to 10:15 pm according to supervisors’ arrangements or to work overtime. They may also be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.
Terms of Appointment:	Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. The in-service training will begin in around the first quarter of 2023 (the actual training period will subject to contract terms). Trainees who have successfully completed and passed the training and examinations as designated by the LCSD will be directly appointed as full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard after the end of the training. On appointment to full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard, they are required to perform lifesaving and related duties at any public swimming pools as deployed by the LCSD throughout the swimming season of 2023. [Note: Successful candidates will be deployed, from time to time, to work at any swimming pools at the discretion of the LCSD based on operational needs.] Successful full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguards will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
